For 25 years, Raw Energy Dance Education has been inspiring the next generation to get active through dance, delivering curriculum aligned and extra-curricular dance programs in schools across Australia.
Where it all began…
Raw Energy Dance (REDed) was established in 1999 by Dale Pope in Sydney, with Dale the sole program facilitator and business operator. Dale’s mission was to engage students in a positive dance experience that connects students to their peers, and promotes creativity, physical and mental health benefits.

REDed’s curriculum aligned dance programs and online teacher resources provide accessible and inclusive lessons for schools that meet requirements and make documentation straightforward for staff. This ensures more focus on the students’ dance journey; they will be challenged and inspired, and grow in confidence through movement.
REDed’s extra-curricular programs provide a nurturing environment for students to extend their dance skillset. These programs build flourishing dance communities in schools, supporting the arts and the school’s profile in the wider community.
The REDed Journey
In 2023, REDed officially joined the Australian School of Performing Arts (ASPA) family. Prior to this, REDed has provided choreography to The Australian Girls Choir and ASPA Education for 25 years. REDed now operates with a growing team of talented instructors and offers programs in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
REDed has also worked with leading organisations and personalities including charity partner Girls from Oz, ImagiNATION, P&O Cruises and Bindi Irwin. Learn more about Our Community here.
